SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Mar. 13, 2013 – The moment that thousands of fervent fans have been waiting for is finally here! Aeria Games, a leading global publisher of free-to-play online games, has begun the closed beta test for Scarlet Blade, the most anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) in the publisher’s history. After incorporating the feedback from its limited alpha test, Scarlet Blade is now in the last stage before it officially launches.
Scarlet Blade takes place in the distant future after a devastating invasion by the insidious Narak has nearly eradicated the human race. Having retreated underground, the survivors genetically engineered the Arkana—warrior women possessing vastly augmented strength and abilities capable of surviving the uninhabitable surface.
Taking the role of commanders, players will guide their chosen Arkana through gorgeous open environments and group up to delve into perilous dungeons. The unique locales to explore include Drasilmarsh, a temple stronghold of the frog-like Batrachian race built into a giant tree, and the Derelict Tunnel, an abandoned mine and hideout of the seedy Buzzard drug cartel. A more dangerous threat lurks in the Bitterstone Core dungeon, where the traitorous humans of the Shadow Army conduct twisted experiments and schemes to support the Narak.

Video games using sex appeal to get interest from gamers is nothing new, but Scarlet Blade went above and beyond with this! Before Scarlet Blade was released it was being touted as a far more mature MMORPG style of game. Well, let me tell you right away that this is not a game that is designed for kids.
I’m Looking At You……… Two!
The first thing that catches your eye when you look at Scarlet Blade is the character designs. The reason that Scarlet Blade is classed as a “mature” MMORPG is the fact that the female characters all have massive boobs and most of them are running around in some kind of thong! To be fair the character models do look pretty good, but in 2019 this kind of thing is not as tolerated so I can see why some may be turned off by it.
There is nothing wrong with hot female video game characters, but I will say that Scarlet Blade maybe goes just a little bit too far with its design of the characters.
I Want More Of The World
One thing that Scarlet Blade does not get enough credit for is the world that the team created for this buxom ladies to run around it. It has a rather, Bladerunner/Cyber Punk kind of feel to it and I think it looks fantastic. A lot of effort went into the world, but the game is more about the hot girls fighting in the world. I feel this is a bit of a missed opportunity, to be honest with you.

The character creation suit is probably what you expect at this point. It is all about showing as much skin as possible with your character, but before we get to that let’s talk about the class. You start by picking from one of two races and then you can decide which of the six classes you want to play as. The class system is very basic and you only have four skills that you can learn as well so they have kept all of this very simple.
I found that it did not feel like there was a whole lot that made the classes different enough and I would bet that in the grand scheme of things it does not really matter which class you pick.
Crazy Fighting Action
The best part of Scarlet Blade (apart from the hot girls of course) is the fact that the combat is completely over the top. It is actually quite fun and it is like a cross between Bayonetta and Lollipop Chainsaw in terms of the style. It is very easy to get the hang of and I would say that the combat is the part of Scarlet Blade that I enjoyed the most.As this is an MMORPG though there is more to do than just combat. You will also have to go and speak to various NPC characters and get missions from them. This is in addition to taking on main quests and there is also a player vs player option too. So they have put a lot of content in the game and I managed to experience most of it without spending a penny so that is great.The problem is that Scarlet Blade does not take any risks (apart from the character designs) as a result it can feel rather shallow and barebones. If the character models get you excited enough I am sure you could probably look past this.

Final Thoughts On Scarlet Blade
This is not the best MMORPG that I have ever played, but if the huge boobs and round butts that are constantly on display do it for you, you will have fun. The combat is actually quite fun and so is the world and I wish the game had more story. I think that would have made the sexy girls more appealing actually. The official servers for this are dead, but thanks to the fans it is still possible to play it.
