This beloved sequel to the groundbreaking DOOM (1993) gave players the brutal Super Shotgun to bear against deadlier demons, and the infamous boss, the Icon of Sin.
In this sequel to the original DOOM, the protagonist is still the same hero – the last remaining space marine. After having single-handedly saved Mars from demonic threat, he returns to Earth, only to find out that the demons have already invaded it, killed most of its inhabitants or possessed them. It’s his task to bring down the force field around the last operational star port to allow the remnants of mankind to escape to the stars.
DOOM II looks and plays very similarly to its predecessor, utilizing the same 3D graphical engine with 2D sprites for enemies. The gameplay once again consists entirely of navigating the hero from first-person view through 3D environments and shooting at the demons while attempting to find the way out by flipping switches and looking for keys. Unlike in DOOM, which is divided into three episodes, the 30 levels of this game (plus the 2 secret levels) form one long episode.
The game adds one new weapon to the player’s arsenal; the super shotgun, several new demon types with more advanced attacks than those of the predecessor, such as the chaingun-toting Heavy Weapon Dudes, the skeletal Revenants who launch homing missiles and the sinister Arch-Viles who have a highly damaging fire attack.

Universal audio equalizer for mac os x. How to play Doom2 over a
Local Area Network (LAN)
Doom2.exe has built-in networkingcode that will allow you to play Doom2 with up to 4 other people in thesame game. Players can play either against one another, or as a team againstthe monsters.
Getting Doom2 to work this way isdone in 3 steps. Step 1 is physically connecting the machines togetherin a Local Area Network. Step 2 is getting the machines talking the IPXprotocol over that network. Step 3 is getting Doom2 to use the IPX networkto run a network game.
Step 1: Physical Network Connections
Each PC needs a network card. Somemachines come with network cards built in. If yours didn't, you will needto install one, and it should install like any other device (like a soundcard or modem). If you have to buy one, I highly recommend getting onethat does BOTH 10-base-2 and 10-base-T. You never know whose netpartiesyou will be going to in the future, and you will want your machine to becompatible with both of these kinds of networks.

Once you have your network cardsinstalled and have run the setup programs that came with them, and theyseem to test okay except for the loopback test, you will want to set upthe network itself.
There are two kinds of physicalnetworks you can make:
A 2-machine 10-base-2 network willconsist of 2 network cards (which are installed in each machine, of course),two T-connectors (one is attached to each network card), one RJ45 coaxialcable that connects one terminal on each PC's T-connector to the otherPC's, and two little doo-dads called terminators. Each T-connector hastwo terminals, and one terminator is plugged into each T-connector, onthe terminal that the RJ-45 cable is not occupying. The diagram below showsthe arraingement. All of these parts should be available at your localcomputer store, and should not cost too much:
